How can I make my saddle custom?

Bob’s Custom Saddles has over 50 standard models, designed by the best trainers in the industry. If you have a model in mind that you like, then you can custom design the aesthetics of it, creating a look that is all your own.



 

Design aspects seat colour, leash colour, ponchos, silver placement and stirrup type. If you don’t have a model in mind, you can also choose to pick from tree, horn type, cantle type, heigh and angle, skirt type, size and shape, rigging type and position and fender size, shape and length.

Do you have custom trees?

Bob’s Custom saddles offers over 25 different trees, and you may pick your cantle height and horn type within these trees. They come in a variety of bars and gullet widths. Please note, not all tree options are able to accommodate all horns and cantle heights, please inquire about specs of trees and available horns.

Each “trainer model” comes with standard trees, which cannot be changed, in order to keep the integrity of each model consistent. This way you know if you order a Duane Latimer Reiner, it will fit, ride, and feel the same as every other Duane you have ridden.

My friend has a Bob’s, I know it fits my horse, and myself, but I want to change the look. Is this possible?

Yes! This is what we specialize in at Rose Fire Saddles and Tack. Every Bob’s Custom Saddle has a serial number stamped into it, from that we can retrieve all of the specs on it. From there we can customize the colour, silver and more! The saddle will fit and ride the same, but be unique to your design.

What is the wait time for a custom saddle?

All saddles are built to order, and take approximately 6 months to ship. Timeline may be longer if intricate tooling or silver is designed. At time of order we will do our best to give you an accurate ETA, but sometimes situations out of our control may delay your saddle. You will be informed asap of any delay, or if your saddle is ahead of schedule. 

What if I can’t wait for a custom build saddle? Do you sell ready to ship saddles?

Absolutely, check out our “In Stock” Saddles for new and used saddles available for trial.

Do you sell matching tack?

Yes. Order a matching headstall, breast-collar, or spur straps with your saddle. Any tack ordered with a saddle will be discounted 20% at time of order.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, certified cheque, e-transfer, PayPal or credit cards. Once you have ordered your saddle or tack we will email you a copy of your invoice. If a custom saddle, once the first payment is made, the order will be placed with Bob’s Custom Saddles, and you will receive an estimated ship date.

Do you offer payment plans? How do they work?

 A $2000 deposit is required before orders will be placed, with the remainder of the price required 4 weeks before saddles delivery date. Saddle must be paid for in full before ship date.
 
Deposit is non-fundable once order has been placed, orders may be changed or cancelled up for 2 weeks after order date. If the saddle order is cancelled, Rose Fire Saddles and Tack reserves the right to hold the deposit for future a saddle order use. Cancelled orders must be re-ordered within 3 months in order to retain use of deposit. In the unlikely event that a saddle is shipped and is not built to spec as per order contract then the saddle will be replaced, as originally ordered, and Rose Fire Saddles and Tack will absorb all extra costs.
 
Please note any custom designed tooling or silver, any saddles with customized names, brands etc, trophy saddles, or any options ordered beyond the standard designs will be considered non-refundable and require a $3000 deposit.

What is your return policy?

Ready to ship saddles are eligible for a full refund. We understand that this is an investment, and it needs to fit both you, and your horse. Once you receive the saddle, fit it to your horse, with a sheet between the saddle and your horse. When you ride it please wrap the stirrups vetrap, and ride in a clean dry area. If for any reason at all you are not 100% happy with your purchase please call Rose Fire Saddles within 48 hours. Saddles must be shipped back insured, via the same carrier used to send the saddle to you. Once the saddle is back in Rose Fire Saddles possession, and inspected, a refund will be sent, less the shipping costs. Any scratches, dings, nicks, fading, stains, leather or silver that has been cleaned or treated, or any saddles ridden in shows will be returned at a lesser amount as Rose Fire Saddles sees fit.  
   
Please note any custom designed tooling or silver, any saddles with customized names, brands etc, trophy saddles, or any options ordered beyond the standard designs will be considered non-refundable. Please inquire as to our refund policy before ordering, as your satisfaction is the upmost importance to us. 


Will you ship internationally?

Yes. We have done business all over North America, as well as Europe.

How much will shipping be?

Any shipping will be quoted and guaranteed from time of order.
 
Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.
 
The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.
 
When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates and is out of our control. Everything will be done to avoid these delays.

sponsorship and tradeshows

How does the Trophy Saddle Program work?

Trophy Saddles are offered at an extreme discount, as low as $2500 for a full tool with trophy fenders. In exchange Rose Fire Saddles and Tack receives a page of advertising in each program of the competitive show season, is listed and announced as a sponsor at each show, as well as at the final awards banquet or show where the saddles are presented. Rose Fire Saddles will provide all brochures, advertisements at our own cost. Call for more details. 


Does Rose Fire offer any other sponsorships for events?

Yes! Rose Fire offers a win-win situation with our tack sponsorship. We provide exceptional choices for awards at unbelievable deals in exchange for specific recognition within your association. There are three tack sponsorship tiers we offer for show and event producers. We would love to chat with you further about sponsoring your event.

Does Rose Fire travel to trade shows?

Absolutely! The reason JT is called “That Saddle Girl”, is because for years people would come up to her at trade shows and say, “hey, my friend told me I need to visit that saddle girl!” The name stuck. If you would like to see us at your event, send us a message with the details!

Trade Ins, Consignment
and Return

DO YOU ACCEPT TRADE INS?

At this time, trade ins are on a case by case basis. We also offer a very reasonable consignment service if your saddle does not qualify for trade in.

CAN I CONSIGN MY SADDLE WITH YOU?

Yes! A charge of 15% commission will be charged for saddles sold through Rose Fire Saddles. All saddles must be shipped to Rose Fire at the owners expense, and all owners must agree to the Rose Fire Saddles Trial and Return Policy.
