FAQ

How can I  make a make my saddle custom?

Bob’s custom has over 50 standard models, designed by the best trainers in the industry. If you have a model in mind that you like, then you can custom design the aesthetics of it, creating a look all of your own.

    Design aspects include:

Seat colour, as well as the option between smooth or suede leather.

Overall leather colour, choose from 8 different colours.

Silver plated conchos, over 50 to choose from.

Silver placement: corners plates, gullet conchos or plates, pommel or cantle plates, horn or stirrup silver, or your brand inlaid in the skirt in silver.

Stirrup type, from leather laced to tooled, or wooden.

If you don’t have a model in mind, you can also choose to pick from:

        Tree*

        Horn type*

        Cantle type, height, and angle*

        Skirt type, size and shape

        Rigging type and position

        Fender size, shape, and length.

*Please note, not all tree options are able to accommodate all horns and cantle heights, please inquire about specs of trees and available horns*

Do you have custom trees?

Bob’s Custom Saddles offers over 25 different trees, and you may pick your cantle height and horn type within these trees. They come in a variety of bars and gullet widths. Please note, not all tree options are able to accommodate all horns and cantle heights, please inquire about specs of trees and available horns.

Each “trainer model” comes with standard trees, which cannot be changed, in order to keep the integrity of each model consistent. This way you know if you order a Duane Latimer Reiner, it will fit, ride, and feel the same as every other Duane you have ridden.

My friend has a Bob’s, I know it fits my horse, and myself, but I want to change the look. Is this possible?

Yes, this is what we specialize in at Rose Fire Saddles and Tack. Every Bob’s Custom Saddle has a serial number stamped into it, from that we can retrieve all of the specs on it. From there we can customize the colour, silver, and more! The saddle will fit and ride the same, but be unique to your design.

How much will shipping be?

Any shipping will be quoted and guaranteed from time of order.

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.

The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.

When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates and is out of our control. Everything will be done to avoid these delays.

Bob Haley recommends you use Leather New to clean and care for your Bob's Custom Saddle. Leather New is the first self-polishing saddle soap. One of the only leather preparations that cleans and polishes in one easy step. Farnam Leather New cleans, softens, and preserves the color and texture of leather, then dries to a long-lasting, high-gloss shine. A vast improvement over current formulas that won't dull the leather like saddle soaps, won't stain the leather like neatsfoot oil and won't rub off on or soil clothing. Actually restores the leather, renews it, makes your saddle bright and new with a single application.

DIRECTIONS:
First remove all dust and dirt from the leather with a soft brush or vacuum. Then spray Leather New directly onto the leather. NOTE: Do not allow Leather New to run. Use a soft, dry cloth to rub the liquid well into the leather. Be sure to use a cloth with enough nap to reach down into stitches and carving. Rub throughly until foam disappears. Then polish with a clean dry cloth. Also use Leather new on wet leather to prevent stiffening. Use it on stiff leather to soften it and prevent cracking.
